Sumeria
(Khan Kurra)

Sumeria is an electronically composed piece conveying a state of trance. It was created slowly during a series of meditative sessions; it marks the birth of the Khan Kurra project, as its synthesis, sonic qualities and creation ritual seemed to the composer to establish a pathway to vast new arcane and deeply emotional musical realms. Khan Kurra embarked here and continues on this journey.

Khan Kurra is an electronic music producer based in the swampy hinterlands of Florida. Using an amalgamation of modern sonics, organic textures and sounds culled from forgotten sources, Khan Kurra’s sound suggests something ancient, somehow conjured through a ritualized use of contemporary technology.
